filumen was founded in 1999 by Christian Finke as a new platform for the design and production of good interior lighting.

Since 2000 the results are shown frequently on trade shows in europe. That led to an ongoing cooperation with retailers and architects. Now filumen is also manufacturing special lighting for the hotel- and catering-industry.

The conceptual value of these products is based on the high-end manufacturing of the fabrics - which are either colorful and handwoven silks, or technical fabrics, to fulfill all project requirements.
