Christian Finke, designer (*1968)

After studying ceramic art for several years - including a lengthy spell in Japan - Finke studied beaux arts at the UdK Berlin focusing on the intersection between the applied and the fine arts.

Since 1999 Christian Finke's work has been focused on the design of sophisticated interior lighting. His approach is that of a sculptor cum architect working within carefully restrained boundaries. There is always a keen interest in the intrinsic character of the materials being used and the play of contrasts which they create.
